Stephan Reinhardt: Exactly the same base wine as the MV10 butblended before bottling with 8% red Pinot Noir from an 64-year-oldvineyard in Ay that gives very tiny, juicy and structured grapes,Giraud's NV Ay Grand Cru Fut de Chene Brut MV Rose has a lovelyorange-pink color and opens to a slightly reductive bouquetinitially, but then becomes pure and very delicate yet intense,wiht red fruits, red wine and floral aromas. On the palate, this isa medium-bodied yet concentrated, fresh and well-structured Ros?with purity, finesse and mineral length. It has matured fruitflavors in the persistent aftertaste, representing a good portionof reserve wines that add a final layer of complexity. Aged forseven years on yeast on the bottle the wine is pretty vinous, andits initially slightly oaky taste and grip needs a big fat fish.4.500 bottles produced. Tasted April 2018.
